HOME ENERGY TOOLKITS LOAN

 

The City of Dorval is pleased to be able to offer its citizens a home energy evaluation kit to help them better understand their home’s energy consumption while also helping them identify ways to save energy in their house. While not the equivalent of an EnerGuide extensive energy evaluation, this kit will allow you to do your own assessment of your home's potential energy savings. By taking a few simple and cost-effective actions, you will get a clear picture of your energy consumption and make your home more environmentally-friendly, while reducing your impact on the environment, as well as the City’s. Together, we can make a difference!

 

Each kit includes:

 

• Infrared thermometer
• Energy consumption monitor
• Light meter
• LED lightbulb
• Instruction guide

 

 

Terms and conditions:

 

• For adult library members in good standing
• 10-day loan; no renewal possible
• Late fees of $50/week
• Replacement fees for the various items if lost or damaged
