SEED LIBRARY

BORROWING, SOWING, SHARING!

The Library is proud to offer its members free access to a seed inventory once again this year.

Why?

  • To encourage the community to explore gardening;
  • To encourage green practices and healthy living;
  • To encourage seed sharing;
  • To enable new agricultural and culinary discoveries.

How to order?

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Take a look at our online seed inventory.
  2. Write down the varieties you are interested in.

Please note: a maximum of 10 sample bags per member will be allowed.

  1. Once you have made your selection, fill out the online order form.

Please note: you will need your valid membership card in hand.

  1. Once you have received confirmation that your order is ready, pick it up at the Library.
  2. Borrow, sow, share!

How to share?

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Put the seeds you collected last year or those you will collect at the end of the season in a small envelope that you have at home or that you will make. You can also pick up some empty envelopes at the Library.

Note: we have a limited number of small envelopes, so we encourage you to make your own.

  1. Write your name (optional) and the contents (required) on your envelopes.
  2. Drop off your envelopes at the Library for other citizens to enjoy.
  3. Take the opportunity to stock up on seeds donated by the community.

Please note: we thank all citizens for ensuring the quality and proper identification of donated seeds as we will not be performing any control in this portion of the service.
