Membership

- A valid ID card and a recent proof of residency are required to register as a member or to renew a membership.
- The membership of a youth under sixteen (16) years of age must be completed in presence of a parent or guardian.
- Membership is free for Dorval residents and for teachers of Dorval schools. Annual membership fees apply for non-residents.

Members are responsible for reporting lost or stolen cards. A $5 (plus tax) fee is charged for a replacement card.
A member must have a file in good standing* in order to:
- Borrow, renew, or reserve materials
- Reserve library equipment and rooms
- Renew his/her library membership
*A file “in good standing” is one that has not expired, with no outstanding fees totalling $2 or more and has no late documents.
